Matter Matters is a 15 minute long study for Estonian/Norwegian dance and media artist duo Roosna & Flak's upcoming performance Shelter Ouroboros. Inspired by the mythical snake that eats its own tail, the piece investigates cycles and feedback loops between movement, sound, and visuals.
The piece is a part of Roosna & Flak's ongoing research into creating performance ecosystems, where movement sensors attached to the performers' limbs trigger and control audiovisual events. It was shown in Kino Sõprus on 27 May 2023 as Flak's exam work for his first year studies in AudioVisual Composition at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater.
