Back to Tech Research

On May 27, 2016 we gave a workshop for music students at Pärnu Ühisgümnaasium together with eminent flute player Monika Matthiesen, demonstrating some aspects of our sensor technology and researching how to work with live music.

We recorded sounds of students' improvisations and connected each of the recordings to a sensor attached to Külli's ankles or wrists. Then Külli played all these recordings moving arms and legs individually or at the same time. Finally we mixed the sounds modified by the sensors with a live sounds from the students into a giant cacophony.

Big thanks to Monika and the brave students for their contribution to the ongoing research!
